What is going on in class?
Fall Government Classes
April 5, 2017
June 23, 2018
In class we will be learning about how our Government works, citizenship, your rights and duties as a citizen. We will begin with some Foundations of Government.
I look forward to meeting you all in the fall!
Materials needed for my Government Class:
- 1 - 1 or 1 1/2 inch 3 ring binder or a folder to keep materials handed out.
- a pair of ear buds are a good idea, but I do have some headphones in class you can use.
Please check my Schoology site and Google Classroom for more information about what is going on in class.
You will sign up or join Schoology and/or Google Classroom on the first day of class.
A field trip to Albany for Legislative Day, has been planned for May. Senator Ritchie's office is looking forward to another visit from us in the Spring. It will be a great opportunity for students to see the legislative process first hand. We will in on a Senate session, met with our Legislators lobbying on behalf of Mental Health Awareness/Suicide Prevention and visited the NYS Museum. Hopefully many of my students will be able to attend. The trip is scheduled for sometime in April or May 2019, the date has not been set yet.
Just a reminder students are required to complete 8 hours of community service or attend a Board of Education Meeting, Town, Village, or County meeting or a court proceeding and submit a summary of what took place by the end of the semester, in January. See the links on the link tab for your town or village meeting schedule.
Enjoy the beautiful weather!
